I bought it from John Hervey...I guess any warranty I had on it is
expired by now, and I can't expect him to swap a new one for me just
because I contaminated it. I guess it's safe to take it apart then.

For rigging a distributor bypass, obviously I would hook the supply
and return lines together to the double-vented banjo bolt. What could
I screw the bolt into to achieve a seal?
