That makes sense.  I shouldn't give advice on procedures I
haven't done myself.  My next restoration project is one
that has the steering rack knocked loose from being towed on
a dolly with the ignition locked.  So I expect I have bent
flanges.  I think this steering rack has stripped gears,
too.
