This is a DMCH hipo crate engine, so it's got only about 5000 miles on it 
so far.  Doesn't mean it was timed right in the first place, of course.

No problem starting ever, hot, cold, wet, dry, you name it.  It always 
starts right up.

When this engine was first installed, it would very occasionally die when 
I push the clutch in and drop it to idle.  It'd just drop too far and not 
be able to recover.  I brought the idle speed up by 50 rpm or so and that 
problem disappeared.

It's still got a pretty uneven idle when it's cold, but that's not
atypical for an engine with these kinds of modifications.  Plus, I never
did take it back to DMCH so Bill could adjust the idle, which he wanted to
do after 30 days.  It's been close to a year.  I hope he's not holding his
breath.
