[DMCForum] crush washers on the fuel distributor

I started work on installing the Nology HotWires today, and as many of us
know, a couple of plug wires on this car are pretty much impossible to
replace unless one loosens the entire intake manifold/fuel distribtor
assembly. In so doing, I had to remove the fuel line that connects to the

left side of the distributor (as one faces it from the rear). I *think*
this is the line going to the CPR, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, when I popped it out, I heard something small and metal fall
through the engine (but not reach the ground, of course). Finding one
copper washer on the bolt, I am assuming that what I heard was probably an

identical copper washer from the other side of the fitting. Could someone

verify this for me?

Obviously I need to replace these when I put the fuel line back in. Does
anyone know offhand what size this is? I can obvously take the one I've
got to a parts store, but it would be easier if I knew exactly which one
to get.

Hey John Hervey... I was checking out your site to see if you happened to
have the sizes, and was reading up on your fuel pump fault symptoms. For
a while now, I've noticed a buzzing/humming noise coming from the front of

my cabin. As the voltage oscillates at idle, the humming increases and
decreases its frequency. This noise is louder than it used to be. I've
also recently started noticing some knocking under load when the engine is

hot. Do you think it's about time for me to pull the fuel pump and put in

a fresh one? Aside from the filter, is there anything else you'd
recommend replacing at the same time?
