Perhaps it would make more sense to find your car's place in line (more
or less) and then calculate it's prototypeness.

how about 1 - (car number/cars produced)
so for example..

I have 1537.
minus 500 (starting VIN) = 1037
out of 8583, which I have accepted as the number of D's produced...  =
.1208
1 minus that... = .879


I claim a 87.9% prototype value.
