When I had the hood with the gas flap (not anymore, stupid deer!), I would hurt myself several times a year on the stainless. With the gas flap open, I would turn the gas cap to get it off and promply slice the knuckle of my index finger open on the lip of stainless at the bottom of the gas flap. I did this probably twice a year. Stupid me, I never got around to putting a piece of rubber or electrical tape over the stainless lip. "I'll never do that again!" I always told myself. I still have a pretty good scar.
