Your message makes it sound like the generic pumps I sell are inferior.
They
are a perfect fit in every way. I have sold over 100 of them with no
failure. If you want the back plate I have it.  Just because yours is
purchased from the Renault dealer makes it no better than the company in
Italy that more than likely makes it for them also. Again, If the 1"
longer
shaft bothers you it can be cut off. But to down play my pump as generic
and
the Renault is much better is not true. Rob and I use the same pump
manufacture.

  We were talking PULLEYs not the pumps. I know Hervey's are generic pumps
  identifiable by the longer shaft and they don't come with a backplate.
  We stock the Renault pumps which are much better. I know DMCH also do,
