My aunt had original Mini. 12 inch rims. Door too small for a window regulator (windows slid sideways like original VW bus). Dashboard too small to put speedometer in front of steering wheel -- located in middle of dash instead. Engine about size of loaf of bread. Produced 40 HP I believe. Yet car still drove like bat from below... If you're looking for a tiny British import, consider the Metropolitans imported by Nash in late 50's to early 60's. Extensive parts and support via AMC clubs and national organization. Pretty much same formula except coupe (with trunk accessed behind back seat because there wasn't enough room for hinges). Made a convertible too.
