Oh wait... I can't even get my insults right.  I was sort of
thinking in terms of "red herring".   Maybe I meant to say
"renegade" but the beer got the better of me.  Still, I
don't think he is the brightest bulb in the tail light
cluster.  But then neither am I much of the time.  ;-)
