Put it this way: If Lotus had been let loose on the DeLorean engine, you would have something to sing about now. The Lotus Carlton is a 3 litre inline 6 24v Vauxhall engine with twin chargecooled turbos, and a helluva lot of tinkering. The worlds fastest production saloon till only last year I believe.
