i think so.  You would have to disconnect the brake line to the caliper
which would give you another headache.

Otherwise I can't see what's stopping you from taking off the
wheel/disc/caliper with the spindle.  Or if the outer spindle nut doesn't
have a cotter pin, you should be able to take the wheel off the spindle. 


The disc nuts are on the inside, but I don't remember how it comes off. 
I do recall there being access to the lugs from the backside if you can
get the rest of the stuff out of the way.  

Sounds like a pain though.  You should have gotten a garage.  Maybe you
should buy a flashlight.
