Since I have owned my car, I have discovered a slew of minor electrical malfunctions. I'm about 50% through fixing them. Remaining are: 1. Left turn signal indicator fails to light (bulb most likely) 2. Fuel gauge pegs full (wiring short. Does it even with sender disconnected) 3. Oil pressure gauge sender pegs. (sender needs replaced. Not a short) 4. Brake warning light fails to light. This last one threw me a curve. The light does not light at startup as a test, nor when you use the parking brake, nor when you depress the diaphram in the master cyl cap like the manual says. So I figured the circuit was messed up somehow. The bulb is good. BUT- this morning on my way to work, the light came on. The pedal immediately got soft. So I have brake problems. Duh. At startup, what idiot lights should illuminate for test? The ones I have are: Seatbelt, Oil, Alternator. Should the lambda light for a test? The owner's manual doesn't say. Lastly, shouldn't the brake light also test? Thanks. Rich Yahoo!
