[DMCForum] Re: buying a "new" car

No one's manufactured a car worth buying for 20 years (flame alert).
You're not missing a thing.

Re: tap test -- I listen for plastic sounding Bondo on metal cars.
Have no idea what Bondo sounds like on a plastic car...

Don't sweat vintage vehicles. I have a driveway full of them (all
running excellently, thank you very much). Used to roar up & down east
coast in 25 year old Lincolns. For past 2 years have been doing same
in a little silver British import.

Louie found vehicle in NC. What is your location? (Am new to this
group so if archived, apologies for missing that info).

If you buy a cosmetically flawed vehicle, and if you go to Pigeon
Forge next year, can park around back with me. Was going to slum it
with Rich A but rate of progress now may put him in front with the
garage queens...

PS: you could do worse than to shoehorn a slant-6 in back of a little
red (silver) car. One heck of an engine.
