Ok, dummy probe:

You can get this at any K-mart, Autozone or other parts house. It
looks like a screwdriver with a clear handle with a lightbulb in it.
Only instead of being a flathead or philips it's just a sharp point.
It has a wire coming out of the handle with an alligator clip.

To test the plug, stick the sharp point into it, touching one contact,
and clip something metallic and pointed (paperclip) in the alligator
clip and stick it in the other contact.

If the circuit has power, the light bulb will light. Make sure you
have the RPM relay bypassed and the key in "run" or the circuit will
not have power. It will be a false test.

The RPM relay is usually first to go but if you're hearing clicking I
think that stuff is ok. You'll probably find the plug has no power
because the wire(s) are broken.

I don't know which wire is hot on the cpr plug off hand. Use the dummy
probe to find out.
