I think that the industry standard concerning air impact wrenches is that
they require not more than 90 psi.  Anything more than that may damage it.

250 ft-lbs should be plenty enough torque to get the nut off.

Considering what a mechanic you seem to be with having your engine so far
apart and all, I'm surprised that you don't own an air compressor (yet ;-)
