Re: [DMCForum] rear brake rotors

I know exactly what you mean. When I had my mom riding with me she asked,
"Why do you shake the steering wheel every time you stop the car?"

You might get by with just having the front rotors cut. But that makes
them
thinner and more prone to warping a second time. I really like what Ed
Uding came up with. I want to buy a pair or make something similar.

Try driving at low speed with the doors open and listen for where you hear
the clicks coming from. I bet it's the rear. It really takes a photo to
show how the springs are supposed to go. The center hook clips to the pad
and the two arms go under the retaining pins. When I took mine out last
night, one of them managed to fly out. It took a while to find it. It
landed on top of my open passenger door. Since the whole car is up on
jack
stands, it took a while to find it. Too bad I don't enjoy playing Hide &
Seek. I spend half of my time trying to find something I just saw
yesterday.
