The "X" can appear on ANY of the hoods. It occurs when, over time, owners exert too much pressure on the hoods while cleaning or polishing. The "X" is simply the reinforcement structure you see on the under side. Exert very little pressure on your hoods when cleaning them regardless of which of the three hoods you have.
