Elvis, I suggest first checking to see if your frequency valve is working. If it is not then it causes the acceleration problem you describe. It will start & idle fine but will hesitate when you give it throttle even when in neutral. After a few minutes when it warms up then it runs fine at higher RPMs. Listen for the frequency valve buzzing while the car is running at idle. On a happy-running warm engine, the buzzing will cycle on & off at about 15 second intervals. If you don't hear it buzzing, then get a long stick (like a screwdriver) and old one end on the frequency valve and hold the other end up to your ear. This works like a stethoscope so that you can better hear if it is buzzing. (When working, you should hear it loud and at 70 Hz.) If you find this to be the problem, then check for dirty/corroded electrical connections at the frequency valve. Also check for a good ground on the side of the intake manifold. The frequency valve is grounded here, and this point can get dirty. Let us know what you find. If the frequency valve is working fine, then the next most likely thing to suspect is the control pressure regulator. Check the plug going to it to make sure there is no corrosion.
