[DMCForum] Installation of ball joints

I'm looking at www.specialtauto.com/bodyparts.shtml and they sell the 
ball joint itself, whereas 
www.deloreanmotorcenter.com/_109071_tie_rod_end.html sells the entire 
tie rod assembly.

My question is: If I buy only the ball joint, then how does it fit 
into the tie rod?  Do I need a giant press to complete the job?
