Does anyone have problems with their Delorean drivers seat back??? ....On a car a I test drove last year the owner didn't even have it in the car becasue he told me it fell off as soon as he sat in the seat....My car has the same problem. I tried to repair the one that came with the car but it was shot....A Delorean friend gave me a NOS one and I happily put it in the car :-) ...2 weeks later it now falls out :-(... I understand the 2 side clamps and top clamp and the 2 screws that hold it in place.....I have heard of others having seatback problems. I also noticed that getting in the car and sitting seems to really put a lot of stress on the back of the seat and I'm not that big :-) My guess is that over the years as the seat back frame has been sat in many times it no longer is alligned/tight enough to hold the seat clamps on....Did the seats from the factory have a separate seat back? or are these aftermarket recovers?....My passenger one is snug and looks like u would need a crow bar to take it off...I thought about swapping them but don't want to ruin that one...any suggestions? I thought about adding 2-3 upholstery springs to secure it to the "insides" of the seat better.
