Been thinking  about your challenge. If we were able to demonstrate, I'd 
like to pick a long wheelbase Land Rover Defender TDi to haul your 
Lincoln across the parking lot. A 2.5 Turbo Diesel putting out 300Nm at 
1950 rpm. I doubt it matches your lump in absolute torque or power, but 
it'll give you a lesson in how low gearing and a massive clutch will win 
over outright "power".

And before you go blathering on about it being a 4x4 off roader - look 
at the figures - LESS torque than yours. LESS power. But it will win, I 
guarantee it.
