Incorrect. Many engines never rev anywhere near 5,252 RPM.

My low compression 460's produce maximum torque around 2,500 RPM,
maximum HP somewhere between 3,500-4,000 RPM. By the time they get to
5,252 RPM I'm in a diminishing power situation.

Coincidentally I just showed a fellow at the railroad here who drives
CDL for us these HP threads. He howled with laughter. Tractor trailer
drivers try to hover around 1,500 RPM. How's THAT for low end power...
