I recall seeing bits and pieces of Dune in the early eighties - I'm guessing this was the David Lynch version released in '84. At one point during the nineties, some friends and I rented Dune, but I've no idea what version we got. I recall it was bloody boring and went on and on for hours; I gave up shortly into it. Maybe this was the 3 hour extended edition of the original '84 version? But the concept sounds like fun and I'd really like to sit down and watch this thing once and for all. Apparently there was a new version made somewhat recently (within the last 6 years or so?); there also appears to be a "Children of Dune" miniseries and a television adaptation by some guy named John Harrison that appears to be something on the order of 12 hours long? So what's the deal? What would you recommend? Or should I just avoid them all? -Ryan Yahoo!
