Sounds sad but I even feel really uneasy when I am in the States and 
you see the police with guns.

As Martin G said, you simply don't see police weilding guns over 
hear in the UK, which is great because if police don't have guns 
then criminals don't need them either, hell why have a shoot out 
when you can have a stick fight lol!

Not saying that we don't have our fair share of gun related crime, 
but it is fairly rare, and I hope it stays that way.
