What is the engine for the military application then?  It should still fit
with little to no modification.  More than likely, it is just a restriction
on how the engine performs.

Thanks Greg, but the civilian Hummers  have different engines from
the military ones.   Mine's a GMC 6.5  litre turbo-diesel.
