I just need the capital. The car is in perfect running order and is a very
low mileage car. It has the atypical problems... rust on the frame, slight
eyebrows, melted fusebox. But other than that, it's immaculate. The car is
cheap enough to own: $400/yr in insurance, $35/yr in taxes, and gas is
negligible since I drive it less than 1000 miles/year.
My wife and I bought a house that we are renovating and the costs are
beginning to skyrocket. We haven't even started the kitchen renovation and
the bill is approaching $50,000.
When I do sell, I will put it on ebay as a last resort. I brought this car
back into the DeLorean community and I want it to stay.

Just received word that now you too are making selling noises...
Is your concern ongoing cost, or are you trying to free up capital? If
it's the latter, and other financing options are not valid, a sale may
be indeed be imminent. But if it's the former, please consider:
- Is the car paid for?
- Are you staring at a big ticket repair? (If so, remember that will
negatively impact sale proceeds...)
- Has insurance coverage been reduced to liability/comprehensive only?
My DeLo costs $47 per month before gas and maintenance/repairs. That
covers insurance, registration, and property taxes. If I'm able to
support one on unemployment benefits, you should be able to do so
through home renovations.
(FWIW: the Lincolns cost $27 per month, and the trucks are a bargain
at $25).
It's going to be rather lonely when I'm the only owner left in the
Carolinas...
