Man, that is so fucked up.
I had no idea that happend.
I really felt somewhat safe at the show, I remeber leaving my $4000 video
camera on the table
for a bit and walking to back for a few minutes and thinking to myself,
"I'm here with lots of recpectable people and friends, there are people here
that all
know each other, I doubt something would happen"....
Of course, that was all true.
I doubt very seriously that the thief was one of "us" but more likely one of
the
people who drifted in.
I don't know if there is a solution to this because it is not fair to deny
the public
being able to see the cars and the show, however I feel that maybe there
should be
some sort of a small addmission price?
We can't br frisking people in and out, but maybe Ken needs to get a few
uniformed
security personel roaming around.
Ultimately we all need to be careful and get things locked up at all times.
However it is hard to have your car open and on display when people are
stealing bits
off of it.
This scares me because I hope to have my car converted into the time machine
by then
and I am afraid that when it is on display to the public or even parked
somewhere that
some of these punks will try to rip parts off of it because they think that
they are stealing the
real thing from the movie.
I'm afraid that someone will try to break my Mr. Fusion off, or something
like that.
One of my favorite lines from "Pulp Fiction" is when Vincent talks about
some guy
who keyed his Malibu, and he says "I wish I could have caught him doing it,
it would have been worth him doing it to catch him doing it"....
