AH!  I see now..  

The car on Ebay now was the car (that was probably)
used in the initial investor video.  I suspect this
car was built before Lotus got involved in the
project.

To get it straight, the car that sold back in 1998 was
"Pre Production", the car on ebay now was "Prototype",
and the car which Claude used to own is just a regular
"early" DeLorean.. LOL! (Sorry, had to get a dig in on
him because he used to call his car pre-production).
