Yeah, I watched the debate. I probably am not going to vote
at all because I have too many conflicting political
opinions. (For example, I think the whole world should be
entitled to welfare, but I dont think anyone should be taxed
to fund it.)
It looks to me like Bush made the same mistakes that Nixon
made with Kennedy. Bush kept stuttering, batting his eyes,
speaking with a hillbilly accent. His suit didn't contrast
well with the blue background. His blue tie matched the
background helping to camouflage him. His eyebrows were
indistinct. On the other hand, Kerry's red tie complimented
the red pinstripe trim of the background. His black suit
contrasted sharply. I could see his eyebrows. He
continually had this smirk like he was ready to start
laughing at Bush for throwing the debate.
I'm not saying that I would vote for Kerry (or Bush for that
matter.)
I did not listen to what they said. That was boring. I was
too amused by how they said what they said and what they
were wearing. Luckily for Kerry, he managed to either wash
off or cover up that orange tan-in-a-tube that he put all
over his face the week before. I was surprised he would try
something so tacky.
And the amazing thing is that I could sit there for 1.5
hours too distracted by how they acted to notice what they
were saying. But then I could have been even better
entertained by staring at a blank wall. I need help. ;-)
