When I did a tune up, I found lots of carbon tracks in the dizzy cap. A knowledgeable friend suggested that since my plugs were about double gapped that the "electrical back pressure" was causing it. I replaced the cap, rotor, wires & plugs and haven't check the cap again since. I should check it again, but it is such a pain to get to. BTW, I have never looked for the junction point. I suspect it is all wrapped in a wiring loom somewhere. Walt Tampa, Florida
