I concur. To me, it is merely "government enforced" charity. A forced 
re-distribution of wealth. I am not necessarily excited about Bush's 
SS privateization either though. By that I mean, I'm not sure I want 
my retirement tied to the market.

Honestly? I'm considering investing in gold.
